Paso Robles City Park (Downtown City Park)

James and Daniel Blackburn donated the land — nearly five acres at the heart of what would become downtown Paso Robles — for a public park, and the city has been growing around it ever since. That gift dates to around 1890, when a bandstand went up, funded by money raised through private theatricals. Today the park anchors the downtown festival calendar, hosting the Wine Festival, car shows, and concerts, with a gazebo at its center and the former Carnegie Library — now home to the Paso Robles Historical Society — standing at its edge.
