The second-floor hall hosted dances, social events, and brass band performances. Buddy Bolden played here. Nearly every significant early jazz musician in the city played in this hall. The building was demolished in 1965. I-10 expressway construction destroyed the building and several historic blocks. The interstate severed the Tremé from the French Quarter. The site is marked. The building is gone.
