Alewerks Brewing Company

Founded in 2006, Alewerks is Williamsburg's primary independent craft brewery, operating a taproom and production facility and annually releasing a colonial-recipe-inspired Café Royal porter developed in collaboration with Colonial Williamsburg historians. The brewery has received recognition from regional beer publications and draws a consistent local following distinct from the Colonial Williamsburg tourist circuit.
