Chris Ardoin and the Zydeco Tradition — Lake Charles

Chris Ardoin, a Lake Charles–area native and member of the Ardoin musical dynasty (tracing to Amédé Ardoin, the foundational figure of Creole zydeco), carries forward a multi-generational accordion-based tradition rooted in the French Creole communities of Southwest Louisiana. The Ardoin family line — from Amédé through Beau Jocque and into Chris — represents one of the most documented living musical lineages in American roots music.
