Abita Brew Pub

The brewery that started here in 1986 left its first building standing. Now it's the Abita Brew Pub, half a block from where the Tammany Trace trailhead hits downtown Abita Springs. The brewpub runs independently but in close partnership with the main operation, and some of what gets brewed on-site stays on-site—beers you won't find distributed anywhere else. The Trace is a rail-trail, good for bikes. Rent one and ride it. The brewpub sits at a natural turnaround point: you can make the ride out, stop for what they're pouring that day, and ride back. The building that launched the brewery is still doing what it was built to do, just in smaller batches now, for people who showed up on two wheels.
