Horseshoe Bend

The Colorado River doesn't exit Horseshoe Bend — it wraps around it, carving a 270-degree curve through sandstone before continuing on. The overlook sits roughly 1,000 feet above the water, part of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, accessible via a 1.5-mile round-trip trail off US Highway 89 near Page. The rim beyond the viewing platform's railings remains exposed, and the drop is real. Come for the view. Respect the edge.
