Good forOutdoor lovers
The telescopes here were donated, one by one, by families and clubs who wanted strangers to see what they'd seen. The result is the largest collection of telescopes for public use in the United States, set under dark-sky-certified surroundings at elevation south of Bend. The flagship is a 30-inch Newtonian — the Matthews, donated by Corwin Matthews, first light 1997. Come for the night program. The sky here earns it.
