Drake Park and Mirror Pond

Good forFamiliesOutdoor lovers

Named for Alexander M. Drake, the original owner of the site, this 13-acre park along the Deschutes River has been Bend's downtown gathering place for over a century. Nearly half a mile of riverfront borders Mirror Pond, a widened section of the river whose still water reflects the surrounding landscape. A major renovation completed in 2003 upgraded restrooms, replaced pathways with pavers, and added a seating area at the pond's edge. The park hosts the Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration and a summer concert series called Munch and Music.
